"Lovely little cottage, perfect location with walking distance to the town centre (10/15mins), had a lovely weekend celebrating my partners birthday just what we needed to have a break and relax. The cottage was lovely especially the fire in the evenings as it got a bit chilly in the cottage, we really enjoyed our stay"

"Excellent location, right in the heart of Lavenham, stands this beautiful, authentic cottage. Perfect accommodation for a family or two couples as there are two toilets and two well resourced communal living. The kitchen and laundry room were very well equipped and made our stay very comfy. The only area for improvement was the check-out time of 10:00 am on a Sunday morning (with a van load of cleaners eating outside to enter the property) this made our departure feel rushed. "

I needed a change of scene for half term and my daughter quickly found the outside skittles and table tennis before I'd unloaded the car. The kitchen was laid for tea, the woodburners (two!) lit and the beds, towels, linen, massive bath, wine, fruit, bread, cakes and sweets all awaiting! Tonnes of games and DVDs too. Rose Cottage enjoys stunning views of the church

"From pre-booking to arrival the property manager was superb. Very friendly and helpful. The welcome basket on arrival was very thoughtful. Lovely little village. We stayed over the jubilee weekend and it had lots of celebrations and events going on. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Cottage itself is superb. Has everything you need. "We absolutely loved our stay in Little Oaks over the new year! We always try to book somewhere peaceful to escape NYE fireworks with our nervous dog and this location was perfect - so peaceful! "Perfect accommodation for a short break. Upstairs is decorated to a good standard in modern style. Everything you need. Kitchen/lounge/diner area. Very cosy and relaxing. Quite big bedroom with double bed and comfortable mattress. Downstairs at bottom of stairs is the toilet and a wet room with shower and under floor heating. Lovely and warm and nice decor. "The cottage was comfortable and well equipped. We were met by the owner, Mark, on arrival, who was very welcoming. He provided lots of local information, including walks and pubs marked on an OS map. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. There are several properties here, but all wirh separate entrances and outside seatinf areas so they feel private. It was a great base for a few days in the Suffolk countryside. "

"Lovely hotel. Good room with comfy bed and functional bathroom. Great breakfast included, but evening meal was a bit too salty for us. Great gym and swimming pool. The Spa is really good so do book an afternoon treatment. "

"Absolutely fabulous stay. The lovely staff and the grandeur of the hotel made this an exceptional experience. We used the hotel as a base for a very quiet wedding at the local registry office. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very special and nothing was too much for the friendly staff who went above and beyond to make sure our every wish was catered for. The room was delightful, furnished in keeping with the hotel. It was very comfortable and we felt at home immediately. The hotel offered a lovely menu with plenty of options which would cater for most palettes. The service was exceptional , with special requests catered for to suit all. The grounds were beautiful and enchanting offering the very best of splendour surrounded by the tranquillity of nature. We had access to a heated pool and enjoyed leisurely swims to suit our timetable. I would highly recommend this hotel for those wishing for some peace and serenity in a picturesque setting. It offered a sense of escapism and made me feel like the protagonist in a wonderful romance novel. Definitely suitable for a special occasion, weddings , anniversaries ect. The hotel is child and dog friendly, which in our view added to the friendliness and character bringing the hotel to life. What more can I say except thank you to Ickworth Hotel for a beautiful and memorable stay."
