"The house is just minutes from the beach. Even in early August the beach is not crowded. Water temperatures were around 16 C. The beach gets windy in the afternoon when kite surfers start. There are life guards which adds extra safety. The little town is cute with restaurants, beach cafes and a little grocery store. A train to Porto runs a few times a day. The house itself has some charming aspects such as the ocean view and the hardwood floor. The kitchen has a lot of useful things....

"We all had an enjoyable stay, the house was spacious, well equipped and in a quiet residential area with few shops, bars and restaurants nearby. The pool and garden were great for the kids and the metro nearby was handy for trips into Porto. Maria was a great host and very communicative, regarding any questions we had."

"Dino and Ines were the perfect hosts, they could not have done more for us. On our first night they even took us out to a restaurant for a super meal before showing us around Povao de Vazim. They pointed out the local supermarkets, metro station, parking and took us on a tour of the town. The house had everything that we could have wanted together with bread, cheese, a nice bottle of wine and even a home baked cake. "We had a wonderful time at Casa da Armada and the villa was spacious and comfortable. Our host was responsive and friendly from the time we decide to rent the villa all the way to our checkout. We loved the outdoor dining table under the grape vines. It is located in a rural setting but is only about 10 min car ride to town for groceries, restaurants and any other needs.
