"Lake lure took a big hit to the storm. But this cabin had all we needed to keep us occupied during our stay. Restaurants and some shops are open. Loved how everyone is so open to helping each other. "Our family had the most relaxing and wonderful stay in this quaint 3 bedroom cabin nested on the mountainside. Beautiful views from the wrap around porch and close to the recreation areas. The guest passes for the indoor pool and spa were wonderful.The cabin itself was well stocked with every cooking item we could need. Clean, cozy and perfect for out getaway!"

"Spend two nights at this beautiful cabin, property is as described by the host. Hosts put a lot of effort in making their guest feel comfortable, like the touches , nice towels ,, two water bottles and chocolate left at the counter , again thanks ! The trails were nice to explore , I would consider staying again. "

"Sheepnose Valley is a perfect house for my family. This was our 2nd Labor Day stay. We love the location and easy access. It may not provide the mountain vistas and water views that some other properties do, but you can sit on the porch and watch the deer and wild turkeys and enjoy the outdoors while feeling secluded, or enjoy the beautiful outdoor space on the other side and watch golfers that will make you feel good about your game. "One son and I had a great "meet up" and hung out together for 3 days and nights. I always go up to Lake Lure to "get away" from the flat lands and the crap that goes with them. Since I was raised in the High Sierra, Lake Lure is the nearest thing I can get to "home"."

"If you want to relax and enjoy nature, this is the perfect place as it is secluded and private. It had everything we needed and more. The kids had a blast in the river (Ingles sells rafts for $13) and loved making smores at night. We used the free kayaks to fish in the lake and noodles and beach chairs were provided.. The lake and river are located 5 minutes from the cabin, near the entrance. The cabin was spacious yet cozy, if we are in the area again, we will definitely come back!"

"After the hurricane, there were not many places in the county that had electricity, but this home did. It was a blessing for our family to be able to live and work here for a week. The house was clean and very comfortable and the host was very easy to work with. Highly recommended for someone visiting the area or needing a place to stay while home is unavailable. "
