"Hidden Gem is a perfect place to relax and just hang by the pool, or recline on the deck facing the ocean. It is not a place where you can step out the door and be on the beach or at a restaurant. If you have a car, Miami Beach is 5 minutes away. We went to Oistens (5 min by car) on a Thursday night and really enjoyed our fish dinner. (The guide books make it sound like it is only on Fridays. "I loved everything about my staff. The staff are amazing - friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. The room was just like the images on the website. The best thing was the food, normally all inclusive options are a bit boring, not here! I had no reason to eat outside. Only thing was that the clientele were not really my type, so I kept myself to myself, solo traveller. Most were couples of different ages. I will come back again. "

Surfers Paradise

"This is a perfect surfers location. Beautiful surf directly across the street, the pictures are accurate, the neighbors are friendly and sitting on the porch watching the surf was heaven. It is not "fancy" - if you have a high maintenance American with you this will not be your rental, but if you want a perfect surf spot to enjoy the views and relax book it. The owner was accessible by What's app as was the car rental co. Be sure to stop for groceries before getting to Bathsheba (only a little market nearby very pricey) and walk to the local spots for meals (some are open on weekends only). We needed a car. On the island you will need GPS (google maps worked) - roads are not well marked. The owner of the VRBO set us up on a fabulous fishing trip - caught Wahoo, Mahi and Barracuda. Definitely recommend if you have the right group. We will be coming back. "

Exactly what we wanted

"We stayed here previously hence our return. It was perfect for us with a well equipped property for all our cooking needs and having really comfortable living area with air conditioned bedrooms and fans in all rooms. Option of a few swimming pools and sun lounging areas. Access to the Fairmont beach loungers is also another great option."

"Bloody love this property... staff are amazing, location is great, people who we've met there are lovely, the water sports everything. Food isn't amazing but its good for all inclusive same with drinks.... but its definitely worth money. Everytime have a fantastic time.... and the sunsets well they are worth every penny ❤️ "

A Very Restful Twelve Days

"Lovely facility. Extremely well equipped and well maintained apartment. Very pleasant staff. Complex also extremely well maintained.Not expecting but pleased that the refrigerator was stocked with basic breakfast needs.A car rental or taxi is necessary for all offsite activities. No safe walkways to beach or commercial activities.Following car rental some interesting travel to east and north of island. Stayed away from Bridgetown because of very heavy traffic. Some of roads in interior are challenging but safe if you stay slow. Local drivers are very accommodating. Felt that tourists are appreciated. We were made to feel welcome."

Fabulous Property & Location

"We were a family of 8 in Barbados to celebrate a family wedding.We love Sugar Hill as a location with its excellent facilities, and Windswept had everything we could possibly need for an enjoyable stay - beautiful, clean and stylishly furnished home with magnificent views of the Caribbean Sea. The property is well located on Sugar Hill close to the reception, main infinity pool (spectacular) and The Deck restaurant, and only a short drive to Holetown and the many glorious beaches on the West Coast - need a car but we always hire a car.Marcia is excellent - so helpful, nothing is too much trouble and she organised our groceries on arrival and our transport from the airport as we were a large group travelling with a 20 month old. Natasha was great too.We all had a wonderful time at Windswept and cannot speak highly enough of the property and Sugar Hill.Thank you Chris & Amanda - we would happily return and recommend your home to friends and family. Thank you also for recommending the wedding planner - excellent."

"I'm a pulmonary & critical care physician in Florida, USA. I have lived in many different countries and traveled to more than 40 different countries on 6 different continents. I love nature, healthy living, good-hearted people and delicious food. My week at Naniki cottages under the guidance of my friend and mentor Tom (the owner), has changed my outlook at life. This place is a piece of paradise. No mosquitoes, nothing poisonous or harmful on the island, right next to the best surfing in the Caribbean (the soup bowl) and overall a therapeutic retreat. That mountain in St. Joseph is ranked 3rd in the world in longevity; most people live to 100 years old. I will be going back again and again as I intend to purchase a plot of land in the area to build my dream vacation home for my family one day. "
