Also staff such as Ricardo (gave me a lighter as I had broken mine in the sea and also always on hand to provide), Christina and Jameka were all amazing and helpful and made me feel like I was at home. What an amazing experience for a solo traveller. The hotel itself is beautiful and tucked away for a great quiet stay. Christina is also genuinely amazing and a great member of staff :) "

"This is a perfect surfers location. Beautiful surf directly across the street, the pictures are accurate, the neighbors are friendly and sitting on the porch watching the surf was heaven. It is not "fancy" - if you have a high maintenance American with you this will not be your rental, but if you want a perfect surf spot to enjoy the views and relax book it. The owner was accessible by What's app as was the car rental co. Be sure to stop for groceries before getting to Bathsheba (only a little market nearby very pricey) and walk to the local spots for meals (some are open on weekends only). We needed a car. On the island you will need GPS (google maps worked) - roads are not well marked. The owner of the VRBO set us up on a fabulous fishing trip - caught Wahoo, Mahi and Barracuda. Definitely recommend if you have the right group. We will be coming back. "

"Our group of seven (ages 21-58) had a fantastic week at this beautiful property. We were fortunate to have no one staying in the other home so we had the pool and grounds to ourselves. That said, we don’t feel anyone should be deterred from the shared property as the houses are decently far apart. Renting both houses would be wonderful for large groups. The house is very comfortable and allows for groups to spend time together or spread out. The covered porch off the living room is particularly nice and allows shade and views to the ocean. Grounds were very nicely landscaped and peaceful. The pool was great for swimming and lounging. We even saw a green monkey one afternoon (about 50 feet from the porch). Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We made breakfast and lunch most days and two dinners. Haywood’s beach is a 10 minute drive and definitely worth a visit. Hayman’s market is fun for small shops and takeaway food (good coffee shop). Only glitch was our check-in which unfortunately had the wrong code and local contact number provided so we had to wait about an hour before we could get let in by the caretaker. Everything else was fantastic. Would rent this house again in a heartbeat. "

"We spent 2 weeks at Ancient grove and absolutely loved it. There were 10 in our party including 3 small children and the place was just brilliant. The size of the property was great for such a large group we were able to have all our meals together looking out over one of the most stunning views. I could honestly never get bored of that view.The tranquility of the location was really something else and we were still only 5-10 minutes from some breathtaking beaches. And 10-15 minutes from Holetown. There is also Haymans market which was 2 minutes down the road and was a good place to visit for some nice takeout food or coffees and other things. We were never in the car for longer than 30 minutes getting to anywhere really and we visited lots of different parts of the island. So again the location is ideal.The pool area was perfect for us as well as in the afternoons when it got a bit hot for the children out or at the beach we were able come back to a dappled shaded pool where you over looked a deep grove and still see the Caribbean Sea!The rooms were great. Were were in the bottom room as we had 2 children with us. It was maybe a little less salubrious than the others but we only used it to sleep in any way and worked well for us. We were able to contact the owners easily whenever we needed anything (nothing significant just a broken kettle) and they were very responsive. We had the best time there and would 100% book there again if were to go back to Barbados."

"We were a family of 8 in Barbados to celebrate a family wedding.We love Sugar Hill as a location with its excellent facilities, and Windswept had everything we could possibly need for an enjoyable stay - beautiful, clean and stylishly furnished home with magnificent views of the Caribbean Sea. The property is well located on Sugar Hill close to the reception, main infinity pool (spectacular) and The Deck restaurant, and only a short drive to Holetown and the many glorious beaches on the West Coast - need a car but we always hire a car.Marcia is excellent - so helpful, nothing is too much trouble and she organised our groceries on arrival and our transport from the airport as we were a large group travelling with a 20 month old. Natasha was great too.We all had a wonderful time at Windswept and cannot speak highly enough of the property and Sugar Hill.Thank you Chris & Amanda - we would happily return and recommend your home to friends and family. Thank you also for recommending the wedding planner - excellent."

I love nature, healthy living, good-hearted people and delicious food. My week at Naniki cottages under the guidance of my friend and mentor Tom (the owner), has changed my outlook at life. This place is a piece of paradise. No mosquitoes, nothing poisonous or harmful on the island, right next to the best surfing in the Caribbean (the soup bowl) and overall a therapeutic retreat. That mountain in St. Joseph is ranked 3rd in the world in longevity; most people live to 100 years old. I will be going back again and again as I intend to purchase a plot of land in the area to build my dream vacation home for my family one day. "
