"Property was easy to get to, the strung lights in the yard was a nice touch as we arrived after dark. Nice setting, with big back porch and chairs on a nicely mowed large yard. The house was nice, ample beds for my husband, my 2 sons & myself, comfortable, amazing antiques. IF I had more time, it would have been a beautiful float to the park stated in the info. "Nice and relaxing. We had so much fun watching the sunrise from the little back porch, fishing the small ponds and having the cows mooing all around us. The Hosts were excellent and the house was very clean and comfortable. We are looking forward to our next trip to Shiner. It is close to the Shiner brewery and town yet still gives you the feeling of a nice getaway to the countryside. "

"This is the house that you always wish your family had - the cabin or farm house that everyone went to as a group gathering or as a small retreat. The gathering rooms are huge, the beds are soft, and there is just a great feeling of peace. This trip for us was a one-off, we went for a wedding in the area, but if we ever have need to stay in the Austin area and can stay an hour away, this is where we will go back to. Loved it."
