"Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Francis House! The house housed 8 comfortably with plenty of interesting rooms for the kids (and adults) to explore, a great yard, and stocked firepit. The location couldn't have been better, minutes from downtown Ontonagon, right down the street from groceries/gas, and smack dab in the middle of all the hiking, beaches, and waterfalls you could ask for."

"This was long way to travel but we knew it would be worth it and it was. Bonfire location in the yard was our meeting place, we brought our own wood but excellent wood was provided and a very pleasant surprise. Beds were comfortable, lots to do in the area, wildlife was a pleasure to wake up to. The best fishing, hiking and rockhounding we won't forgot anytime soon."

"I don’t think I can summarize the beauty of this place in a review. The home is a work of art and you can see the dream of the owners in every space. We felt at home the entire time. The beach was the most amazing time spent when we were there. The sunsets are painted over the lake like a dream and our family soaked it up. We explored the area with great rec commendations from the host and others we met in town. Our daughter kept saying it was the best vacation ever! We agree and will be back....

"Jason responded quickly when I contacted him for check-in instructions, then again, for the WiFi password. The house was full of extras like soap/shampoo, laundry detergent, coffee, and extra toilet paper and sheets—we had to run to town for a lighter for the fire pit, but I can see where that would be difficult to keep at a rental house! One member of our group did lament the lack of an entry step handrail. Other than that, the beach, the location, and the home are all gorgeous and relaxing....

"I cannot say enough about how lovely this home is. The hosts thought of every little thing to make our stay wonderful. It truly felt like staying at a favorite relative's home (minus that relative ;) ). We have stayed at many Vrbo's and rentals and this was by far our favorite. Everything thing we needed was at our fingertips (all the incidentals that you may need to bring with you or buy at other places were provided. The hosts even left us a note giving us permission to items on the property...

Beautiful location in the woods, amazing beach area
"We loved the house and spot on the lake. There is a fun little river that flows into Lake Superior. The sunrise and sunset were so pretty. We had all the things we needed to explore and have fun including lots of info about the surrounding area. Our host left yummy treats that we enjoyed. The beds were ok and we missed having some blinds especially in the downstairs bathroom and bedroom."
