"Walking into this home was a treat, it smelled fresh and clean, was beautifully decorated and well appointed with everything we could possibly want. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and the included toiletries were lovely. Beds were comfortable, bedding very nice and our stay was peaceful and perfect. We particularly enjoyed the sunsets from our deck and the deer grazing in our front yard. Owners provided lots of local knowledge and recommendations. Definitely a highlight of our trip. "

"After a long day of driving past tons of sheep from Inverness, we arrived at the house on Skye. It was indeed remote, exactly as we expected. Thankfully, the wifi information was posted visibly in a window so we could check the app for entry instructions, because there was a triffling amount of cell signal out there.Once inside, the sunny kitchen was glorious. The entire house was comfortable, with great views of the water.One night we even could see the aurora in the night sky.The only downside was the tarvern/inn/pub at the water, the only place to eat, required reservations, and was booked up. But, the weather was nice enough to sit outside and they happily served us at the picnic tables."

"We very much enjoyed staying at Lorraine's place. The cottage is well maintained. There was even a hand written note when we arrived. We didn't get his name, but a nice shepherd minds his sheeps in the area, with whom whe learned about farming and croft life. name name but was very lovely. "

"The hillside location gives amazing view across Lochbay.Waternish is a convenient location to get all across the island.The cottage has tonnes of character and is very homely. There was lots of space for the 3 of us.We appreciated the washer and dryer!There is heating in every room and a log fire which we enjoyed in the evenings.The house was immaculately clean and comfortable. There is a large selection of games for children of all ages.We had excellent communication with the owner throughout."

"This is a wonderful cottage in a gorgeous area. My husband and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful and remote experience on the Isle Of Skye. The surroundings are stunning and the cottage itself is so warm and welcoming. Very clean, size and layout are comfortable, kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed. Living room area relaxing. Cottage in back and front are bonuses. Parking was no issue. Owner is very thoughtful with providing information about the area. You can tell it is well kept and loved. Can't say enough about the restaurant at The Stein Inn. Best food we had on our trip. Loved walking to Skye Skins and their yurt for coffee. Great location to explore Dunvegan Castle, town of Dunvegan, and Neist Point. Very small grocery in Dunvegan where we were able to buy all we needed. Although small compared to other areas, we loved driving and exploring the Waternish Peninsula. Just gorgeous. Be sure to visit the Trumpan church ruins and graveyard. Interesting history and the views are incredible. Search for Donnie's honesty box on the other side of peninsula for his tablet. A real treat. Finally saw Highland coos on the drive! This cottage was one of those places we didn't want to leave."

"Beautiful house in a fairly remote location. Just on the edge of the water. Short drive to the stein inn which is the oldest pub on Skye. Loch Bay the only Michelin started restaurant on the island is next to the stein inn.Property as described in the listing.Lovely location, lovely house.
