Having a porter to carry luggage was a great perk of staying at this hotel. There are a lot of steps to get to and from the hotel. Be prepared for the steps if choosing this hotel. "

"We stayed a week at Sophia Luxury Suites and had a wonderful stay. The location is wonderful - IF you understand the fact that there are stairs - and LOTS of them. Dining options close by - they just opened a restaurant right below the room. Understand that in Santorini and these cave rooms - they are located right along public walkways and the windows are open air. There will be people walking by your room at any hour of the day or night - if you understand that and accept it as part of the experience it is no big deal. We stayed right at the shoulder season and everything was just in the process of opening - the staff were still learning and there were a few bumps in the road - wrong deliveries of room service choices - but nothing major and nothing we were concerned about considering the circumstances. When you choose these locations and travel during the off season - then go in with your eyes open and embrace the experience. We truly enjoyed our stay there and would do so again! The staff was pleasant and attentive - and learning! "
