4.0 star property

"The B&B is basically a room block next door to the golf clubhouse, with a beautiful outlook. The highlight of our stay were the superb breakfasts and attentive staff member. There were a number of maintenance issues, from broken tiles across the bathroom floor, blown bulbs, TV not working... But the hygiene in the room was good. "

"A homely and comfortable country house in which to enjoy a few days exploring The Gower. The staff are so very friendly and obliging. "Had a lovely time staying here. Different from staying in a hotel. Hot drinks offered to us every time we came in. Beautiful big bedroom with a large bathroom with bath and separate shower. Clean, tidy, really comfortable bed. Had the best 2 nights sleep I’ve had for ages. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and the proprietors are lovely, warm, friendly people. "We had a great stay at the Mill… so quiet and peaceful and in a stunning location. Helen and Matt were terrific hosts ensuring our stay was perfect. Our room was spacious and comfortable and beautifully decorated. A fridge with fresh milk and an incredibly generous Biscuit jar (apologies for over indulging! 😂) was certainly a bonus. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful which we really enjoyed. We would highly recommend this lovely place and we hope to return. Graham and Kay."

"I’d give Melin Tregyb 5* for cleanliness and the room was large and airy with a very comfortable double bed. The owners were very quick to respond to emails but it would be comforting for me, as a solo traveller, to have an hour per day when the owners could be guaranteed to be in the building. "

The Gower Golf Club

3.5 star property
7.6 out of 10, Good, (70)
"We booked two nights here and then read the reviews, some of which were pretty grim. That was not our experience. It suited our purposes, and we were happy with our stay. This is a golf club that has a few (9?) rooms, which it offers. As such, it is not a hotel so there isn’t a bevy of staff on hand 24/7 like a real hotel might have. Some gripes were: 1) The room wasn’t serviced overnight as the web site says it would be. 2) There was only one chair in the room. 3) Perhaps the room was a...
