"What a terrible experience. The property requires an access code to enter the rooms and I didn't receive the access code for my first night. I spent more than 2 hours with hotels.com support while they tried to contact the property to get me into the room. I also tried contacting the property myself but they did not answer. I did get into the property the next day but it left a sour taste in my mouth. Worst of all, I contacted hotels.com for a refund and they said they cannot do it because...

"A good location with lovely shops and eating places around. Eduardo at reception was so kind and helpful and went above and beyond to help and advise. I was generally happy with the apartment and the bed was comfy. I had everything I needed for 4 nights. A few small niggles though… The terrace area overlooks a horrible dirty courtyard and tables and chair for sitting badly need replaced. Shower needs drain unblocked as tray filled up quickly. Extremely noisy above from others moving around until...

"Location was walking distance to many restaurants, grocery store, and Centro Porto. We had limited use of the outdoor space because the weather was quite cool and we never used the kitchen appliances so I can’t comment on them. We were met by the host who was very pleasant and easy to talk to."

"Lieu selon la description mais beaucoup de dommages (trous dans les murs) et les lits sont dure comme du béton et présence de punaise de lit et l’ameublement est taché et très sale, secteur calme "

"Nice place my only criticism is no soap provided in the shower and soap container at sink could not be moved. Also only one set of towels provided per person, which is not a problem, however nothing dried in the bathroom so towels had to be hung around the apartment to dry"

"From the moment we stepped foot on this property we felt cared for. Up and beyond the usual stay! Jorge explained the details of the beautifully renovated apartment so we knew how to use everything and he also introduced us to many restaurants in the neighborhood. We went to three of them and they were great. Highly recommend this place! "

"Very close to the Porto Campanhã train station (5 min walk), clean, and comfortable. We were not provided check-in information and waited outside for 20 mins after our agreed upon check-in time, and eventually had to make a couple international calls to the listed hotel number in order to receive access codes to the apartment. Did not receive any replies from the host through Expedia messaging or text message. The wifi did not work."

"Great location, 4 minutes from Metro, easy walking distance to all Porto's attractions. Leonardo met me at the apartment and showed me all the amenity and provided keys. Apartment is very well equipped and comfortable, comfy bed, all exactly like the photos. Would recommend it."

"Perfect flat for a stay in Porto. Clean and spacious. I stayed with a friend and it was great to have a bedroom and bathroom each. There are two balconies so you can have the sun all day - a lovely suprise. And aircon in each room if you have too much sun. About 10/ 15 minutes walk to the commercial district/ old town. Would absolutely return!"

"What we liked is that this was a real neighborhood, not just a tourist area. It was an easy walk from the main train station connecting to Lisbon. the hotel itself is spanking brand new and the bed was big and comfortable. Also less than two blocks away was an amazing local bakery (Chicana) which was amazingly cheap for that quality of pastries, bread and coffee. Their English is limited, but you will be fine. We did breakfast there every day and then walked to the main part of Porto (but we often walk over 20,000 steps a day when we travel -- FYI.)"

"Its a nice basic place near to Campanha Station, which has long distance trains to Lisbon and the south, plus regional trains along the scenic Douro Valley. Metro and rail services into the city centre also available, plus direct metro from airport. The room itself was clean and comfortable, en suite, albeit a bit compact. I was checked in by the owner who remembered me from my last visit, and he was very kind to ask about my father who stayed with me last time, which was a nice touch."
