"Expedia's property address was for a business office, which didn't have any nearby parking, and it was closed when we arrived. There was a sign on the door in Italian, which we do not speak, and a telephone number. A kind young woman used her cellphone to call the number and talked to the manager, who did not speak English. We waited about ten minutes for someone to show up and walk us to the B & B, about three blocks away. Once in our room we had to make our own way back to where we had left...

"Chose property based on proximity to ferry terminal and reviews. We are a 2 minute walk away so we can sit in the roof deck and go over just before boarding - avoiding heat and crowds of the port. The room was unexpectedly elegant, perhaps the best room we have had in Sicily and for the price the best. We had an excellent dinner recommendation (Doppio Gusto) 5 mins away. "Very large. It is very rare to find a villa with 3 bathrooms. Our host Antonio was fantastic. He drove us to the Port and made sure we were all set to go on our cruise. You will definitely need to have a car. The villa is tucked away. Very private. Definitely not in a tourist area. The host was very accommodating."

I checked in late Sunday afternoon which meant reception was not staffed, but intercom provided all information to get in and access key card. Very comfortable bed and perfect pillows. Shower was small, but then I'm quite large! Water temperature regulation was very sensitive. Overall a good stop over"
