"We booked and canceled several resorts before choosing OBLU Helengeli. Many advertised snorkeling, but it turned out they didn’t have a reef. We went to OBLU for the reef and were not disappointed. We had a great encounter with a ray and 2 turtles. Plenty of other fish, too. Our overwater sunset villa was beautiful, with a very large pool on the deck. The island plan all inclusive made everything "

"Staff were very friendly especially Ashraf who was very helpful to us from the beginning to the end. He made our stay very comfortable and relaxing to the last day of our trip. We had a baby with us so we are very thankful. We got the family villa that has access to the sand beach. It felt like you got your own private beach as it was quiet. The water was so clear and calm. Fishes, baby sharks and other sea creatures can be seen close to the shore or while swimming. Sand was white and soft as a powder. My daughter describes the sand like the pancake mix. The water activities were easy to schedule. The all inclusive food were yummy and a lot of variety. The egg benedict, seafood, salad, dessert were the best for me. The host were very friendly like Widiya and the servers too. Kona was very nice and offered to make a broccoli puree for our baby from their kitchen. The island was new and clean, no mosquitos. Overall, it was beautiful, relaxing, fun trip that our family would never forget. Thank you Ashraf, Widiya, Kona and the rest of the staff at Joy Island for giving us a wonderful vacation."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Kagi Maldives for our honeymoon. The island is beautiful, secluded, and quiet. We stayed in an Ocean Villa on the water, the room size was great with easy access to the ocean and coral reefs. The coral reefs on the island were fantastic and so easy to get to from the room, we saw turtles, sharks, manta rays, and plenty of fish. We selected the all-inclusive package, which I'd recommend not to worry about costs each day. The buffet for dinner wasn't open when we were there, so we ate at Ke-un and Nonna each night. We loved Ke-un, and the prawns were massive and spicy, our favourite dish. We also enjoyed Nonna but preferred Ke-un for the asian food. There is a good selection at both restaurants. All the food we had good, the buffet breakast had lots of chocie and the dumplins and pastries were delicious and our favourite part. The drinks choices are extensive, most cocktails we really enjoyed, and the wine selection was great. The bar staff were great and attentive, never waited long for a drink. We arranged a chefs table dinner. Nahil, who was superb throughout, managed to arrange for this a secluded beach, which was a very special. The food was delicious and the setup beautiful. Overall, the island is beautiful with an amazing coral reef, the staff are attentive and friendly, the food and drinks are excellent with a wide selection, and it was very romantic and secluded, perfect place for our honeymoon."

"Blocks off the beach. Beach sand coral and coarse. Host is responsive and provides a concierge. Access to surfing spots. Seasonal temperature and humidity is bordering intolerable. Political graffiti is ever present. Beautiful islands, third world charm. Overwhelming Muslim environment, including social restrictions. Safe and fair value, fantastic effort by host and concierge as much as possible. Long and pricey taxi by boat ($50 a couple each way) to arrive at the property. Noise disturbances of an on going local election, and daily calls to prayer. We appreciate the host an concierge, however would not repeat."
