"My friend and I enjoyed our stay in Salem at this cute little bungalow! Many amenities made it easy to take meals in the kitchen. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. No communication with the host because it wasn’t necessary. The house is a little older than I had anticipated with a slight old house smell and creaky floors, but other than that, all was good! "

"The property is great as well as the hosts. There is still an ongoing issue with VRBO (customer service is out of country) but this is not the fault of the owners. This why the rating is low in the check in process. Luckily the property is also listing on the competition and we would book that way again. Enjoy!"

The downside was their rules and restrictions. After making the reservation, they sent us several pages of rules. We wanted to have a BBQ for 10-15 people one afternoon (and it would have been a PERFECT location for it), and they wanted to charge us $950 extra!!! "We had a amazing time here there are bike trails just up the road and a waterfall across the street. For being where it is located it is a very peaceful place. The owners do have a full working blacksmith shop, chickens and small children running around but they never bothered us once. The chickens are just off the deck of the property but we never really heard them. The blacksmith shop is right next to the property and again the noise was very minimal.
