There is plenty of restaurants and other things in walking distance from the hotel. The only issue we had was some guests were slamming doors but the hotel staff took proper care of it right away."

"Wonderful experience. I travel to Altoona regularly for business. I stayed several times at another hotel (that I won’t name), which was across from the hospital for convenience. The Hampton Inn is a bit further but it’s entirely worth the extra miles! I enjoyed the clean, large hot tub. Room was spotless, and shower was hot. The multi-use soaps/lotions/shampoo/conditioner was appreciated from an environmental standpoint. Breakfast was great, and the QR code for tipping was great since I didn’t have change to tip housekeeping. Overall, many thoughtful touches and attention to mastering the basics for a hotel have made this my go-to spot when visiting Altoona. "
