"Our stay was very enjoyable. The property is very unique and picturesque. The small cottages with a couple rooms each are very quiet. The grounds are very old and beautiful. They are cobble stone and so not ideal if you have mobility issues. Food and drinks at the restaurant were excellent and breakfast had a good variety. "

Diana works very hard keeping the place clean and is always available if have any questions. Short walk to two excellent local restaurants, small but well stocked supermarket and the Trilho Ecologico da Urzelina (TEU), a beautiful 3 KM coast path. "

"It has nice ocean views and the property was well maintained and very clean. The property manager only communicated when she wanted funds because of a late check in (we were going to pay cash on arrival). Once the funds were received we had to reach out multiple times while flying all day to obtain check in details. Upon arrival we had to leave sensitive information on a desk and weren’t able to ask about late check out. There was no one around except the cleaning staff. "

"The staff spoke English and were very helpful. The location of this hotel was perfect! If you want to see the stone arch, it is next door to the hotel. If you want to swim in the natural pool, it is on the other side of the hotel. The hotel also has a pool and lovely grounds. The breakfast is great, as well. Sao Jorge Gardens if definitely a place I will stay again."

"Host was incredibly friendly and gracious. We Loved this property. Breakfast was perfect! Freshly made to order eggs along with cheeses, meat bread etc. it was literally a two minute drive to the airport but we could not hear any planes coming and going. We enjoyed the pool very much! "The air was very damp and smelled like mold. There was indeed some black mold on the shower curtain and on the window curtain. Everything felt slightly damp in the room including our pillows. It was therefore extremely uncomfortable and hard to sleep. We woke up in the morning feeling nausea presumably because of the disgusting air. There was also a door to the outside that rattled loudly every time a gust of wind blew which also made it hard to sleep. Overall I would recommend finding different...

Their hospitality to share their home with us was such a nice change of pace from staying at hotels in Terceira and Sao Miguel. They gave us a nice tour of their farm and animals. They helped us book dinner reservations as well. Would definitley stay here again. "

"What a great host and the setting was absolutely heavenly. We came so my wife and daughters experience Pico as it was the home of my Avo and Ava who where from Lages do Pico and they get to know there heritage. We will return again for a much longer stay and the people of the Pico are warm and friendly will to assist. The food was spectacular and it brought me back to my childhood growing up in a Azorean Portuguese family in California. Thank you and my Gods Blessings be with all in the Pico."
