The view of the ocean from the restaurant and the food made for a beautiful dinner and drinks at the end of the day especially at sunset. Breakfast was delicious as well. "We were a group of 4 senior adults and were looking for a quiet, comfortable location to end our Portugal trip. This spot was perfect! From the host guiding us in by phone when we got turned around, to the pleasant housekeeper who met us at the property to check in to the spectacular views of the ocean and perfectly stocked home, our stay could not have been better. With 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms plus generous sized living and dining areas (including a cool outdoor kitchen), there was plenty of room for us to be very comfortable. Porto Formosa is a tiny village so if you are looking for nightlife this is not the spot for you. We cooked for ourselves here and had everything we needed with groceries just a short 15 minute car ride away. We found this to be a good central location to explore the island from as well. You can easily walk down to the public beach (coming back up is a great workout!) and there is access to public trails close by. We cannot recommend this property enough! 5 stars!"
