"The food was lovely and the bar and restaurant were nice. Breakfasts were really nice and all staff were friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the road noise at night."

"A very quaint Hotel with quirky features. Noisy floor boards so you could hear people moving around. Food was good but little more expensive than normal Green King prices. Recently stayed in a Wetherspoons Hotel as well, who provided a lot more tea/coffee/hot chocolate etc in the room. Would be an idea to increase at the Anchor. Great location with some on site parking but we couldn't use it so park on the road. Would recommend."
