"Delightful inn with lovely views across the river and surrounding countryside. Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room, although compact, had everything we needed with ample storage for a few days clothing, a comfortable bed and tea & coffee facilities. The ensuite had a good, but not spacious, shower, however, the window was clear glass without a blind and it did feel like you were a little exposed when using the bathroom. Breakfast was excellent with a good range of choices. Optional lunch or dinner dining is also very good but it is advisable to book. The garden offers some lovely tables for dining riverside if the weather permits. "

"Lovely clean room, which overlooked the nearby Bickleigh bridge. The addition of a pedestal fan in the room, was much appreciated. Very relaxing atmosphere, the breakfast (not included in our room rate) offered great choice, and was plentiful. We booked a table at the restaurant twice during our stay. There was a good selection of typical pub grub available. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. My personal favourite was a dessert of Lemon tart with ice cream - which I would definitely have again. "
