"I give this rental a five stars overall. The property contact was very responsive. The location so close to the lake is just perfect. Great for a girls weekend away. Only constructive feedback. Is there a couple of things that should be repaired on the property, such as a cracked sink, But nothing that overall affected the functionality of the rental for us. Neighbors were very quiet and we would definitely stay here again."

"Jake’s place was perfect for our stay, as it was a relaxing, clean and a nice home. The two floor layout worked especially well for our infant daughter so she had a quiet place to sleep, while we could cook and hang out in the living room. The only suggestion to the host is to install curtains along the picturesque sliding doors for a bit of extra privacy at nighttime."

"Fished the Madison chain while we stayed here. 20 minutes to the ramp. Plenty of places to eat in neighborhood easy gas stops on easy to ramp. Plenty of room to move around in house for the four of us. Driveway and street parking were available for two bass boats and trucks. Electric hook up was great for charging batteries."

"The cabin was absolutely spotless and well equipped. The owner was an excellent communicator - we did it all by email. The expectations for maintaining and checking out were very reasonable. I recommend this stay to anyone!"

"Was in town for UWM parents weekend and wanted something more than a simple hotel room as I was going to be there for nearly a week. The Saddlery for the bill. Location was amazing. "This was a clean, comfortable and lovely home. It was located in a nice and quiet neighborhood. We especially enjoyed hanging out on the back deck. Definitely recommend!"

"Coming up from Florida to see my kids and grandkids for the holidays and getting to have them all under one roof made my Christmas complete. We had such a great time and so happy I was able to find this hidden gem in Janesville was more than o could’ve asked for! I’m hoping to make this a tradition! The space was well maintained and pristine! One of my favorite bookings thus far! "

The canal does not fully freeze in the winter, but if you walk 3 blocks down, you can access the frozen part of the lake for ice fishing.
