"We thoroughly enjoyed our second visit to Chalets de Joy this year. The property is new, immaculately clean and spacious apartments. We love that the residence has the facilities of a modern alpine hotel, with the space and convenience of your own apartment. For winter ski lift access however, it is a 5 minute walk down a relatively steep hill with your ski equipment. We decided to drive down to the gondola instead, which was a little disappointing as we were not expecting this. "

"Dark and depressing, everything is brown, very little natural light, clean but very tired and very basic. This is not a Hotel, you have to make your own beds, staff unhelpful when we needed to move rooms because of the barking dog next door …. we asked if they could help move the linen and were told by them that that wasn’t there job why should they do it??? Maybe a misunderstanding as i thought we were booking a hotel room this feels more like a hostel ….. "

"We had a very good stay at the Front de Niege in January 2018. The apartments are well equipped and the beds comfortable. They had recently refurbished the bathroom on ours and it was excellent, with a very powerful shower. The location is great for skiing. You can ski directly onto the slopes through the trees, and it's a 100 meter walk back at the end of the day. It is a 20 minute walk to/from the village, with the return being up-hill. There is a free bus, although this doesn't run past...

"Everything about the hotel itself was excellent, the property felt very new and clean, rooms were a good size and well equipped. The spa was also very clean and although small, was never too busy, and was separate to the main pool so for those looking for a little more quiet, it was for over 16s only. "Chalet was perfect for family of 4, and the swimming pool a bonus for the kids. Ski bus stop was very close, and its a beautiful area. On the listing the map shows the location as Les Esserts which was wrong - however in the end we were glad we were down in the valley on the outskirts of Morillon. In the mornings we got the ski bus to the telecabine, and after skiing generally walked back to the chalet which took about 15 mins. This was only possible as we left our rented skis in the hire shop...

"Upon arrival the staff were friendly and helpful. The private underground parking was great for ease of unloading and accessing the apartment. Whilst the apartment was tidy, we found chewing gum on one of the chairs and the furniture was far from comfortable to sit on - although fine if you are just using it for short periods eating.
