"We loved our stay here - a one night get away from our 2 year old who we left with the grandparents. Though once we arrived I had wished he was with us, as there was such an incredible kids program on offer. Even though the place is clearly very kid/family friendly, it still has a beautiful inviting grown up feel, definitely something for everyone. The food was good, the indoor pool lovely, the grounds are peaceful. We'd consider coming back for a proper family holiday in the future."

"This place is all about the property. Rooms, staff, food are all great. We only stayed a night but are going to come back. I think 3 nights would be enough to feel adequately rested."

"Large room, large bathroom, lots of closets, few hangers. Shaving mirror in bathroom which doubled as a nightlight. Quiet area. Some distance from restaurants. There was a wine tasting event in the lobby and guests were invited to attend. That was a pleasant surprise. "

"Fabulous old historic building. The staff were very friendly. Restaurant had limited menu and food was ok nothing to rave about. As a Gold VIP member I was not given the bottle of wine as a perk and I had to ask for it. Also there was no mention of an upgrade. This part of the service was disappointing. "

"This hotel was gorgeous and comfortable. Very clean and nice location that you can drive right up to with great parking. The free breakfast was decent. Issue with the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night while we were there, but pretty sure that was a one-off issue. "

"This property is quite remote. I don’t recommend trying to find it in the dark- although we were sent very good instructions. This place encourages mingling with other guests and we had a delightful time with a British and a Swedish couple around the huge fireplace and at the communal dining table. It is well worth requesting the dinner for$€30 a person including wine."

"The place had AC, overlooks the old castle, had a good breakfast, and is calm and cool at night. The owners were willing to help with any of our needs. The town is small and quiet so it was a relaxing stay. Overall very nice place! "

"This is a beautiful, peaceful hotel. The rooms are large, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff are wonderful. It would serve perfectly as a retreat and invites meditation. There are no TVs in the rooms, but there's a big TV in a common room. The building also houses artwork and small museums. It's a bit isolated. The restaurant wasn't open the night we were there, but we had a lovely dinner at a restaurant 700 meters away. You can also go to the castle for dinner. The hotel breakfast...

"This is a great property which is well equipped. Most rooms have air conditioning which worked well [it was 37 degres most days]. The pool is bug although there was only one working outside light which was under the waterline. Some of the vegetation in the pictures is no longer there. The kutvhen is great - big and well equipped. The beds were comfortable and the villa is a 5 minute drive to Moura where we found 3 supermarkets as well as shops in the town, free access to the castle and a well...

"We loved this home. It was clean, had all the amenities and located close to the centre of town. The pool and courtyard was exceptional. We spent all our spare time there. We did find the beds a little uncomfortable, but not bad enough to reduce our 5 star rating. We would definitely stay here again."
