"I loved this escape from reality. This was a very quiet romantic getaway for Valentine’s Day. The place was very clean and had everything we needed from a fully equipped small kitchen to everything outdoors we would need for a campfire and making s’mores. "I love this property! I stayed for one night and there was a comedian and a lot of activity in the hotel which made for a great night! My only complaint is the bed! It was probably the least comfortable bed I have ever slept in a hotel. I had a horrible night sleep as the mattress was terrible! The room and amenities are all top notch! I am not a fan of the blue toilet water as a cleaner… but just my personal opinion. "

"The staff was very helpful and accommodating during our stay. It's 10 minutes from downtown which was convenient for us to visit family. The rooms are as expected in a motel but the beds are comfortable for a no frills stay. It really is the best option for Old Saybrook for reasonable price. It is right off I-95 but the double paned windows they put in keep the highway noise low. I couldn't hear it at night. I highly recommend the Liberty Inn."

"The main heating system was broken, requiring use of the backup system. The room was EXTREMELY cold and it took nearly an hour to warm up. No one had gone into the room to preheat it. Poor service. The back up heating system was VERY noisy and disrupted my sleep all night. Not a pleasant experience and I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone!!!!!!"
