"The property was a perfect location for shopping, restaurants etc. It does not have a lift (elevator) but they brought the luggage up to the room. If you cannot do stairs they would not work for you. The staff was very nice and the room was large, clean and very comfortable."

"Lovely boutique hotel, clean fresh rooms, the staff were wonderful, great breakfast and a lovely relaxed vibe in the evening for cocktails. Very central. The only reason I’ve given them a 4 for facilities and not 5 is that our room was on the third floor, 6 flights of steps with no lift. Difficult at 65 with a bad hip. The room overlooked the back alley, and you heard the loud noise of empty bottles being emptied into the skip. But that aside I would stay here again….but would ask for a lower...

"Great place as a base for exploring the Borders. Overall stay was good. Room was exceptionally clean(had a couple of minor niggles but these were dealt with happily and swiftly). Stayed in a double which was quite small (with only one bedside table). Would 'upgrade' to a larger room if staying again. The best thing about this hotel is the people and the outstanding service they provide-nothing too much trouble and so friendly. Ooh- and good food including a fab breakfast. "

"The guest house was exceptionally comfortable and well suited for my stay of 7 days (and would have been well suited for any length of time). "i was a little reluctant to choose this property as it does not include daily maid service. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that you can easily exchange your towels at anytime. If required you can easily dispose of excess garbage. All units have kitchen facilities. There is also an option of a buffet breakfast available at an additional cost. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. I would highly recommend this property."
