"We stayed the night before our flight back to the Uk and went out for something to eat locally. Very comfortable room and garden area we could relax in. The host was very accommodating and collected us when we dropped our hire car off and dropped us back at the airport for our flight for $5 in the evening and $10 for an early morning transfer which we thought was very reasonable "

"Hillside property with beautiful grounds, swimming pool and views of mountains, valleys, and the quaint town of Atenas. Our bungalow was quite nice and comfortable. Our host, Alejandro is wonderful, informative and speaks many different languages. Breakfast is not included but there are many dining options in town. "

"The woman working was so lovely, I was the only one staying here and she made sure to be there for my whole stay (i.e., 24/7 front desk). I needed to leave for the airport at 3:30 AM, and she was able to arrange transportation for me for 10 USD to the airport. She did not speak English but we handled everything via Google translate and everything worked perfectly. I did not rate this 5 stars as the area around the property felt a little unsafe, and it was a little far from the airport...

"I want a full refund for Casa Memo! My other accomodations (The Backyard Hotel and Hotel Santo Tomas) were excellent as advertised. Hotel Casa Memo a disaster. We informed the hotel prior to booking of our late arrival, and upon arrival at SJO, our Rental Car Company called the motel informing that we would be later, 0030 hours. We downloaded the directions for Hotels.com and also used our GPS. It directed us to the location of Avenida 4 and Calle 3. There we did not find the hotel, no sign...

"The house is spectacular, beautifully designed and maintained. All the spaces have a wonderful indoor/outdoor feel. There are flowers and birds everywhere, and there is a very good view of a huge valley and mountain ridge where birds soar and cattle roam in the distance. Highly recommend!"

"It was okay - neighbourhood is gross (like a lot of cities and towns in Costa Rica) it’s filthy with garbage everywhere, broken sidewalks, stray dogs, etc. not really anywhere to eat except little roadside stands. But the hotel itself was good, very clean. Okay for a night if you’re just passing through."
