"Nice hotel attached to the casino very near the castle. I enjoyed running through the castle in the morning. Other than the castle, the location is rather inconvenient and away from the rail station and town, but still walkable."

"WE have stayed here a couple of times. The hotel is modern and comfortable. There is also a Spa which seems to be very popular. There is a lively scene in the bar and restaurants which seemed to be used a lot by locals . It is south of Brussels and about a 40 min drive to the airport depending on traffic."

"I'm vacating my apartment in mons so have been staying at a number of local hotels. Stayed in room 113 for a week. My only negative is no aircon which would be a nightmare in the summer, they do supply a big noisy fan. Perhaps B&B who are new owners will install aircon? Other than that it was an excellent stay, free coffee downstairs 24/7 and a room with a bath. We didn't bother with breakfast as plenty of shops/cafes in Mons. "Lovely old building with pleasant grounds but the unit lacked a great deal. Firstly, no air conditioning on a 34 degree day is a huge problem for anyone. We had to ask for a fan and leave windows on ground floor open all night in order to get some kind of sleep. NOT IDEAL for safety. "Our stay at Pierre and Martine's farmhouse was wonderful! The view from the backyard out into the pasture's is breathtaking and the kindness shown to us and our family was delightful. "My husband, daughter and I absolutely loved our stay. The room was very clean, comfortable and for a family room, we were not expecting to have 2 toilets/ showers. The breakfast had great choices and we particularly loved the freshly squeezed orange juice. The staff were very friendly. They also have a shuttle bus to and from the airport, that runs every 30 minutes for €10. We would highly recommended. "

Auberge Youth hostel - Charleroi, Belgium.

"We have stayed here before and will Do again. Although it’s a youth hostel - nobody feels unwelcome. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is situate a very short walk from Charleroi central train and bus station. There are lifts to all floors and everybody is catered for here. Breakfast is included in the price and there is plenty to fill yourself up. No cooked food other than boiled eggs - but they’re were lovely. Unless you really object to making up your own bed and stripping it at the end of your stay you will be well Looked after by the staff. Enjoy the youth hostel you’ll meet a lot of nice people and from various countries."
