Not quite silence - there are sheep a couple of fields away and the hum of insects gorging on the flowers. Walks through the fields and woods in the area from the front door. The pool area was lovely. There wasnt really anything in the village but the nearest town was only 10 or so minutes away. There was a supermarket and petrol station and a market.
