"My adult children and Husband stayed here for a celebration of my 50th birthday and a wedding in the area. We had fun seeing all the antiques the house holds as well as all the beautiful furniture and nice rooms. The bathrooms are spacious but require a close nit group as the master bathroom is a walkthrough with two doors. The TV room and kitchen are comfy. The beds are too! The living and dining rooms are elegant and the grounds pretty! Our host was great and his scones are really good!...

"Very quaint town and neighborhood. Great for fall getaway to Lancaster. House is comfortable and centrally located. We enjoyed the Halloween parade on Friday night in the town."

"This was the perfect spot for us to relax after the PA Renn Fair. The kids had tons of fun running around and playing games in the basement. We all slept like babies. "

"We had a group of four friends and our daughters attend a concert at Hershey Park. The house was a close ride to the stadium, but not right in the middle of everything. The house was cute and well done! The upgrades were great and made for a wonderful place for us all to be together. We had plenty of bed space - even the bottom bunk (where I ended up) was extremely comfortable! Would definitely recommend!"

"This property has so much to offer. I want to come back for a retreat like stay. I only wished we had a day or two more. Absolutley lovely and high end detaila throughout this property. Coffee game is beyond anything I have seen! Kitchen is really well equipped and plenty of conveniences. 2 ovens!!! Hosts did an incredible job communicating. They offer comprehensive info for property and area around. Wonderful stay - would come again in a heartbeat."

"We chose this horse due to the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, ideal for a large group. We had 3 couples and one single adult (over age 80); what we didn’t realize was that with 4 bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs- there are two full baths downstairs and two upstairs. Not a big deal, but that meant that for our group one bedroom had to use the downstairs bathroom. The family room has been updated with a new sofa and love seat. "This house was set up perfectly for 2 families traveling together. With 3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs it was the perfect place for us. A short 15 minute drive to Hershey park made it the perfect choice for us. "

"We had a great stay at this location. The kitchen had everything we needed. As we arrived there was no electricity due to outage on the street. The owners were very forthcoming and understanding as we decided to cancel and go to another place. Luckily power came back on as we were talking. There are only two toilets and one of them the door doesn't close all the way so you could peak in i hope they fix that as that is not ideal when u stay with a bigger crowd. "

"The Haines Shoe House is am incredible experience for all ages. Our family group age range was 5-70. We all enjoyed our stay. Lots of things to do in the area. House was meticulously maintained and furnished. Campfire under the stars and hot tub great addition to our stay. "

The steps to the bedroom are very narrow and steep with a difficult landing at the top. Coming down the stairs takes some cautious negotiation as the railing does not go to the top of the stairs.
