"We had a nice stay at Balgownie. We were treated to a complementary wine tasting, the grounds were very nice, the breakfast was excellent and the room (admittedly, we chose the “standard” room) was adequate. The gym was untidy, the AC didn’t work in the gym (nor did the Wi-Fi) and it’s a small gym/pool area. It’s a nice location for exploring the area."

"Thank you to Phil and his staff for a fabulous stay. Valentines Day dinner was excellent. We appreaciated the extra touches, the shared cocktail, amuse bouche and shared lovers dessert. We also appreciate staff patience in the face of inadequate information from Wotif. We hope that time and finances will allow the once magnifent gardens to shine again. We will definitely be back. "

"Check in was a breeze with friendly and helpful staff at the desk. We had an issue with the toilet continuously running so we were swapped into another room immediately without fuss. Room was spotlessly clean, generous in size and the bed, I just knew would give us an excellent nights sleep..and it did! Great shower too! All in all a great stay for a reasonable tariff. Would definitely stay here again. "

"I rented a room overnight with my disabled older brother. The evening staff were both able to come to our room to orient us how to use the features, and check they were working --showers, lights, phone, etc. and professional manner gave us reasscheerful "

"Good rates, friendly staff. Wish all the rooms had smart tv’s, but I wasn’t t here to watch tv. Rooms are a little worn. Restaurant has the best Chinese. Knox club across the street has good local food."

"Was noisey and there was a mix up to what room i was in. 3rd time lucky to find my room. On leaving i noticed the mattress had blood on it and was very dirty. That was the worst mattress i had ever seen and was shocked. Wouldnt stay there again. "
