"Great location.. great place, we would stay here again "

"3 families (6 adults and 7 kids) stayed here for one week. Great house, very well maintained and Lina is a fabulous host. Brilliant pool and games area and house well kitted out. Given location, would definitely recommend having a car for trips to town/beach/supermarket etc. Lovely touch providing breakfast every morning and extra (paid for) meals were tasty and good value. All in all, very good."

"The owner was incredibly helpful before our arrival and during our stay. Also, we had amazing meals cooked by the owner’s mum. We felt very looked after. The house and pool were perfect for our family and it was so convenient being in the centre of the village. We will definitely be returning."

"The villa is amazing. All amenities included, except WiFi. There is an odd request for £50 for this after we booked. The WiFi doesn’t reach upstairs. The pool and gardens are regularly maintained and are beautiful. The view is stunning. It’s an out of the way location, so peaceful but you need a car. Many beaches a short drive away. The villa is well managed and any requests were dealt with immediately. Definitely recommend a stay here for a peaceful holiday."

"Overall loved the place. There were a few niggles like the garden lights being intentionally turned off detracting from the atmosphere, penny-pinching in the extreme. Not being able to leave the washing machine or dishwasher on when going out because the electricity fob was locked to the door key, very patronising, especially considering the money paid for rental.the location was excellent and the outside ameneties great. Did think more effort could be put into a welcome basket maybe salt pepper...

"This villa in the mountains above Plakia was beautiful. I stayed here with four friends and it was amazing. We were welcomed by one of the women who cleans. She gave us a tour of the place and had a homemade cake for us!! Then a few days later, delivered another one. The Villa is very clean, has a nice pool, a great charcoal grill and dining area outside. There are little beaches down the road, and major beaches with in drivable distance. It is very close to beachfront restaurants and shops."

"The villa has a lot going for it, but it feels unloved, little things let it down, only 2 usable sun loungers, a further 2 (unusable) dumped on the wall, the top patio furnishings stained and worn, 2 windows upstairs with odd curtains, a few screws to hold them in place would stop the pole moving and the end falling off, the garden has lots of debris laying around, lots of weeds out the front. "House was clean with breathtaking views as advertised! Was not prepared for steep hill access to villa. Took a few trips to be comfortable with the drive; recommend a SUB rental.Communication with owner and house manager was on point. Owner provided detailed directions, as per location and surrounding areas. However, still have to be careful with GPS directions as it can take you areas that are not suitable for tourist driving. We had a wonderful family trip, and would recommend Villa Cassandra!"

"My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. All the amenities worked well. Proximity to beaches such as Episkopos make for a peaceful, relaxing vacation. We also enjoyed the trip to Chania and Souda Bay."

"Just returned from a week at this lovely villa which coped well with the 42° heat that we had. The villa has amazing views a great pool and is a ten minute walk from the beach front of Almyrida with a variety of restaurants and a glorious beach. In the opposite direction a ten minute walk takes you into the village of Plaka and its lovely tavernas and a couple of supermarkets. I would recommend Elpis in Plaka for great food and warm welcome. "We had a wonderful time at Michael's villa Balos/Amfimala. The house is excellently located just outside Georgioupolis, where there is a beautiful sandy and safe beach, small harbour, village square and numerous shops, tavernas and bars. If you travel a little further afield you can visit the Venetian cities of Chania and Rethymnon easily by car or by the reliable and cheap bus service, as well as some lovely small traditional villages in the mountains.
