"The property is wonderful with a great facilities!!! The villa was very clean, sofa bed was ready and the bed was very comfortable. AC or fan is in the rooms which is I founded very convenient. Beach towels are provided, so you don’t have to take from home. Bathroom is very clean, plenty of branded toiletries (smells amazing). "We booked via Expedia to stay for 3 nights in January 2022, however the property had been double booked and we were left stranded in the middle of nowhere, with two children, in the rain and with darkness falling. Not good at all. Seriously displeased. How the double-booking happened, I do not know. I had all supporting confirmation paperwork printed out and by email. "Perfect place for a relaxing stay. Each bedroom is spacious, lots of storage and has an ensuite. Pool is great. The onsite staff are amazing and very welcoming and helpful (definitely book a dinner made by Dinesh!). The breakfast is also delicious. Good restaurants in the area (including one right across the street). Property is lovely and backs directly on to the beach. "

"The property is ideal for the Udawalawe park safari. The host and the staff are really friendly are really friendly and polite. The food is amazing,fresh made every day. It can be done without having much spices,if you are not a fan of spices. You are in a corner of paradise with a lot of fauna. We have absolute loved it. The only small downside was the shower that didn't have hot water and water pressure was weak."

Deep clean required as a matter of urgency

"The room requires a deep clean. Dirty floor mats, water timescale marks all around the shower and window. Privacy blind had mould growing on it. Sink requires timescale and bleach as plug area smelt unpleasant. Air conditioning required some overdue maintenance or replacement as it was so loud even with the terrace doors closed. Very loud music could be easily heard in the room until 5am. Breakfast area had a fly problem and need to be addressed urgently as unhygienic. "

"Had a great stay... only down side being we were only there for 2 nights Lovely hotel, with very friendly staff. Rooms great and well appointed.Great setting and relaxing after or before safari. Only bit of advice is dont go too late for breakfast or buffet evening meal, as its all been hoovered up. Would recommend and if we find ourself in same area again, will re book. "

"It is unique and super in every way. The staff are fantastic. Big thank you to Dominda who went out of his way to help. The trip to the waterfall and swim is a must do. Domindas English is great and as a local explains everything which provides an insight to this incredible place. We will come back and stay longer next time! 🙏"

Warm hospitality close to Udawalwae

"A wonderful stay at Mansala, with very friendly and helpful hosts. We had a room with balcony and two double beds for us and our son. The owner was able to arrange our safari, taxi and trip to the Elephant Transit home. All very close by. Excellent communication. They organised some water for the early morning safari and breakfast on our return. Freshly cooked and plentiful breakfast. The family were generous with their hospitality"
