"We had never booked a bed & breakfast because we like privacy. There were only 5 B&B units located above a farm market and cafe, each one different. We booked the Peach room, with two beds. The rooms are upstairs, accessed through a side entrance which goes up to that level. The rooms are HUGE and include a gas fireplace, microwave and refrigerator, coffee making apparatus, and a huge bathroom with both a soaking tub and a large glass shower. The beds were incredibly comfortable, with amazing sheets that were super soft. The peach theme was carried out in the decor. Even the hallway was furnished with nice furniture. Since we were planning to ski at Big White in the morning, we were a little disappointed that breakfast wouldn't be available until 8 am, but we were able to preorder the night before and pick it up to go, so it wasn't an issue. The breakfast was delicious, with a number of enticing choices. It included an entree, a side (we chose savory scones), and a latte or other coffee drink. I had the breakfast sandwich with an egg, spinach, cheese, and a special tomato sauce on soft toast that was so good both my husband and I ordered it the second morning (and I would love to try to duplicate it at home). We were the only guests staying for the two nights, but the price was so reasonable and the experience so delightful that we are surprised it's not full all the time! We would stay there again any time! "

"Driving from Washington, we were called by the owner around noon on day of check-in just as we were heading into the mountains that there had been an emergency plumbing incident and wouldn’t be able to stay at the house. We were offered an alternative house of similar value, though 20 min further from Big White and not furnished as well, and we did decide to accept because we had very little options at that point. The alternative house was larger and did have gorgeous views of Lake Okanagan. The kitchen was lacking a few essentials but otherwise it was a nice stay. The owner was responsive and helpful and apologetic about the whole situation. She did suggest some kind of discount might be possible considering the whole situation, but that never materialized."
