"I loved my stay at Barcelo Valencia. The hotel is lovely, the staff attentive and helpful and the location perfect. Right next to the riverbed/ park so it is an easy walk to centre of the city or the beach. The science centre/ oceanographic/ conference centre is right by the hotel. Lots of patisserie’s and restaurants nearby as well so easy to find a good place to eat. I had a great stay at this hotel, the room was spacious and the cleaning staff are excellent. I will definitely stay again. "

"The apartment looks exactly as it does in the pictures & it's closed to the beach. Unfortunately, the listing didn't provide any pictures of the outside of the building. According to neighbors, construction started in April- the entire avenue is undergoing major construction and it's closed to traffic, so we had to park far away and walk with our luggage to the apartment. Jackhammers started at 7:30 am. Although the host is not responsible for it-like he told me, I thought it should be in the listing since it's going on for months/ April-Nov. Drove around about 30-40 minutes. Asked the host how to access the building, and they only sent a google link. The bathroom only have access from the bedroom, & no ventilation. Third guest had to go thru our bedroom in the middle of the night. The bedroom doesn't have air conditioning, and it's very humid in Valencia. The ceiling fan wasn't enough to get rid of it. The place was new and clean, but the shower didn't run properly and the water came out everytime we showered, so the floor was a mess. We were afraid at times trying to access the apartment; some of the people hanging around the door, seemed questionable. Unfortunately, I found myself contacting the host most of the time I was there, asking myself if I was communicating with a person or a virtual agent, that was until last communication when he was rude and condescending- I've been traveling A LOT over the past 8 years and never, ever had to make a bad review. Until now."
