"Where to begin. Nice to have a glass of bubbly on arrival. Once we got to our room we had two single beds pushed togeather- it took housekeeping a long time to rectify this and we had to call reception to chase it. Ordering room service is farcical, staff didn’t speak any English and kept telling us to call reception, who then told us to call room service. Choice of food is very limited and not really suitable for vegetarians. The tray, plates and cutlery were not collected after we finished...

It has a bit of everything—athletic facilities (including Padel courts), spa (where we had a great couples massage and hydrotherapy session), two wonderful pools for lounging, and several restaurants. The breakfast buffet at Gusto was abundant, as was the dinner on the night we tried it. The hotel is close to the beach and an easy walk along the coastline to Costa Adeje, but we rarely wanted to leave! It’s family-friendly, but doesn’t cater...
