"Wanted to have a swanky stay in Gibraltar and the hotel didn't disappoint. Everything was great, especially the room, breakfast buffet and happy-hour cocktails. "

"Great views and incredibly clean. Very helpful. Dining at dinner was good but very slow in bar area. First night better than the second. The only improvement to suggest would be manager in dining room. I had to ask for everything and not overly friendly in the bar area. Decided to go elsewhere our third night. Other than that everything was very good. "

"The hotel's location in Tangier's Medina couldn't be better. The staff is incredibly helpful. The receptionist left his desk to walk us to the American Legation Museum for example and reserved us a taxi to the airport. The bell man walked our bags down the street when it was time to take the latter. We would recommend this hotel to anyone."

"Difficult to fault this excellent hotel. Located very conveniently across the road from the main rail station in an open, spacious square that was not busy with traffic or people. The staff were helpful, welcoming, friendly. very professional. "Nice hotel, convenient location in the new part of town. Lovely beach across the street. Make sure you book a room with sea view. You will not be disappointed. You can even see the Spanish coastline (Tenerife) in the distance from your room. Too bad the hotel pool wasn’t open. I was there in January and had the pool been open, cleaned and heated I would have definitely used it. But I understand that it was winter temperatures in Morocco. For me as a Canadian it was like Spring. "

"The property was beautiful! We could see the Mediterranean from the balcony. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us! Just an fyi- We copied and pasted the address into Google maps, which was a mistake. It took us to Gibraltar, if you click on the address from the app it takes you to where you need to go! "

"Lovely hotel surrounded by a nice garden. Many seating areas to relax and have a drink, chat or play a game. (Early) check in was easy. Breakfast buffet was well stocked with many choices. Initially we got a key to a standard (poolside) room which was outdated. Highly recommend upgrading as our main building room was very nice. Personally I liked the historical look of the hotel with marble stairs, wooden floors and wrought iron."

Don't judge this book by its cover...

"Very unassuming from the outside, but with a spectacular interior. A wonderful lady at the reception. Conveniently located if you want to explore the old town and/or catch the ferry for a day trip to Morocco. For a fee, the hotel offers parking in an underground car park about 150 meters away - the only space available was too narrow for my midsize SUV, but there is an excellent public parking garage with valet service also just 150 meters away, and even slightly cheaper than what you would pay at the hotel."

Excellent staff, fantastic breakfast !

"Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful, great room with a very nice balcony. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh fruit, plenty of cooked options, good coffee. Lots of areas to sit and relax, it is a lovely hotel. Very close to the train station. I can highly recommend Hotel Mir Octavio and I would stay again"
