"A loverly village inn with great food and real ales. Very comfortable bed and room very clean. Shower was clean and they water hot. In all a very comfortable stay. We were, attending a wedding at Leez Priory which as 5 mins away. Local Chelmsford cabs serve the Leez so transport back was very easy. "

"I had a really good stay - the breakfast and service was excellent and room very comfortable. I did find the room a little too warm though. The main light was not working and there were no rubber bath mats to stand on in the shower. I was however given a bath towel to use instead. I was hoping to make use of the extra pillows in the wardrobe, but unfortunately there was a vomit-like smell in the wardrobe which had permeated the pillows. My only concern was our window would Not stay open & we were very hot during the night although a fan was in the room could not sleep with it on, In the morning very little hot water pressure, this could be the someone else had the hot water running at the same time, these were very small negatives but would definitely stay here again "
