"Our stay was beyond amazing. The room was so homely and cosy, we loved it. We had an evening meal and a breakfast, the food was incredible. The staff at dinner and breakfast were so kind and welcoming, professional, completely faultless. The staff made the stay that much more special, so thank you. We cant wait to stay again. "

"Had a hard time figuring out how to adjust the temperature. It was warm in the room, but I did open the windows more which helped a great deal. Wouldn’t recommend for elderly people or anyone with difficulty climbing stairs."

"This property and the hosts are full of warmth and character. They made us feel very welcome. The wood-burning stove in the dining room was wonderful to sit by. The breakfast was delicious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we slept soundly. The property is close to a busy road. However, the road is recently resurfaced and we slept peacefully."

"It was perfect for the lone female business self employed traveller and had everything I needed , fridge, microwave. These were a godsend. Only thing I would change is the height of the basin and mirror in the bathroom . I’m a average height female at 5’ 4” and the basin and mirror are set at a 6’2” male I’m sure lol apart from that all good would definitely stay again :) "

"Birds farm is a lovely place to stay for the local Essex or Sussex area. Very quiet in the evenings, despite being just off a busy road. "The Rose and Crown was a lovely timber framed building but with modern facilities. The room was large, warm and comfortable with a couple of easy chairs which were an added bonus. The shower was good and easy to use. The breakfast was well presented and good and the staff were all pleasant and created a relaxed atmosphere"

A Good Hotel

"Always a lovely stay at Belstead Brook; I’ve been coming for years. The food in the restaurant is fantastic, especially their Sunday roast. Beds are comfortable enough but it does depend on room type (I’ve stayed in all types) but I find the pillows quite hard. A good hotel if you’re in the area with friendly and obliging staff."
