"Good decent property "

"Just far enough outside of the city to be really natural and not touristy. It’s a brisk 15 minute walk from the train station maybe 20. It’s on a rather long pier with incredible views of the water and some of the wind that goes with it, but it was worth it!"

"We really enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam. The apartment was located very conveniently for museums and galleries, as well as the proximity to the tram and restaurants. The neighbourhood is also a lovely place to wander about and felt safe during the evening (though, you take your life in your hands crossing the cycle lane). The owners are clearly still working on the property as there was a lot of banging and hammering at 7am which may not be ideal if you've had a late night or like to sleep in....

Rooms had their linen changed but the living room and kitchen was pretty dirty still.. bathroom and toilet were good.. if you have a lot of luggage, suggest ask for a ground floor apartment as the lift was not working and the stairs were tight and steep.. "

"Great apartment which has everything you need, I have stayed there a few times. In the centre of the city with all the local attractions within a short walk. And Railway Station about 10 minutes walk with quick access to Schiphol and Amsterdam. "

There was confusion at the beginning regarding check-in; I talked with an Expedia agent for more than 2 hours to clarify my reservation with the hotel, and finally got it all sorted out. The hotel is near Sloterdijk station, which is very convenient for taking train, tram, or bus to go anywhere. There is a grocery store right next to the station for food and others. "Parking is absolutely horrendous in Amsterdam. As a first time visitor - this cannot be expressed highly enough. Do not rent a car unless absolutely necessary. If you must rent a car - have a parking plan in place before you arrive. "

"This was close to tram stop. Lots of restaurants nearby. We ate at a really good Indonesian restaurant. Close to beautiful park. Have to go to hotel de hallem to check in. Silverware drawer hidden under stove. Comfy bed! Great TV options."
