"We had the most perfect stay at “Le petit palais”. Great boutique hotel located in the beautiful “rue Suffren” in the French quarter. The staff was amazing and friendly, especially with our 2 young children. We will come back for sure!"

"Beautiful rooms, very comfortable and nicely maintained. Interesting, historic building in great location - easy walking distance to many sights in White Town. Nice restaurant food and great cocktails, but a la carte breakfast was not available - only buffet, which was simple but good. Management very friendly and helpful however, restaurant staff not particularly attentive so service could be slow at times. But all in all a very nice place to stay in the centre of Pondy."

"The location on the promenade was great. No proper lobby or reception. A cafe at the entrance which serves as lobby. Not all rooms have view and most have partial sea view. Lovely room, very comfortable beds, very clean and fantastic staff. Breakfast was very basic and not great. Better to eat elsewhere. "

"This hotel was great for a short stay. The hotel itself lacks a 4star luxury feeling, but it has more of a small boutique hotel feel. It's also a great location. It's a walkable distance to the boardwalk/ocean front, which was nice. At night, the area was lively and safe. We walked around and even went to a few shops then came back and had a specialty coffee beverage at the hotel restaurant. If you choose to sit outside when you dine, the view is beautiful. Also, we received SPA treatment...

"We extended our stay here. The staff is helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. This is a great location for a walkable distance to the French quarter as well as a number of restaurants. The breakfast is simple but good. Ceiling fan and air conditioner keep the room cold. A water kettle and cups are also available in the room as well as basic toiletries. Worth a stay. Lovely building and rooms. The wala need some fresh paint, but other than that, we enjoyed our stay. "

Lovely hotel on ocean.

"Lovely small hotel on the ocean. Try and get a front room with a balcony and ocean view. It does have a lot of steps to climb to the reception in the rooms. All areas were spotlessly clean and the hotel was very quiet. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is situated just inside White Town / French quarter and it was easy to walk to all the sites. "

"So nice to walk out the door and turn onto the Bay of Bengal with a very long and Promenade where no cars are allowed. Busy early morning as the 'walkers' are out. You might hear a flute talking to another flute somewhere else and the sound of the sea always."

"After looking at the other CGH property, we had lot of expectation. But it was completely disappointment. The area outside the property entrance has exposed driange canals. The gutter smell, mosquitoes really made us ponder why we chose this over the over. The property was well maintained. Inside Stay was comfort. But the breakfast really disappointed. We shelled out 1K per person and were expecting a lavish break fast. The prior day, they asked us what we all want. We gave list of 3 items along with regular continental and fruits etc. But we were served one of the list chose. Over all, it was utter disaster. If I want to go back Pondicherry, I would definitely not stay here. The other CGH property is in 3min walkable distance from this one. It was well maintained inside and outside. It has lot of good and money worth amenities ( pool, break fast, spa etc). Stay away. It will burn your pockets. "
