"This clean and cozy VRBO is positioned perfectly within historical downtown Newbern. The Tryon Palace is directly across the street. Atlantic beach is 45 minutes away. You are in walking distance to many different types of restaurants. It was a surprisingly quiet neighborhood. We will be staying here again."

"Met family for a baby shower & had a wonderful visit. The kids loved playing on the little beach & the adult men loved fishing. I LOVED the screened deck views."

"Rented the property for my daughter’s graduation from ECU. So glad we picked this tranquil spot to stay rather than the city! The house has lots of space, the kitchen is well stocked with essentials, and the view from the living room is spectacular! Most of our time was spent sitting in the yard just talking! Enjoyed sun rises on the pier and some fishing, even though the fish weren’t biting much!"

"This was our second, but definitely not the last, time we stayed here for Easter. The house is well appointed and beautiful. The outdoor space was great for our group to spread out and have a grown up Easter egg hunt. We really love everything about this spot!"

"This was our first time to Oriental. Very quaint and beautiful town. The house was private and the view incredible. There was an issue with the AC not working when we arrived, but Brooke was such a great host. She had someone out the very next day to fix it. She always answered immediately if we had a question. The house is just as pictured and described. We loved just sitting on the dock with coffee or a glass of wine and had fun kayaking a couple of days. Would definitely recommend if you want...

"This wonderful cottage was everything we were looking for when dropping our children off at Camp. Tasteful and thoughtful decor and amenities. Great private backyard and we really enjoyed the bikes and biking to downtown New Bern. Beautifully restored piece of local history and close to everything! Host was responsive and accommodating."

"We were there to attend a wedding so this was the perfect place to hang our hats. It is clean and importantly, bug free! Others have complained of cockroaches. They have obviously resolved that issue. I would stay there again."

"My family stayed at this tranquil property for our first trip to New Bern and enjoyed every minute!! Aaron was amazing to work with before and throughout our stay. Some highlights at the property: the views (!!!), the bunk beds (our 6 year old never wanted to leave), the well appointed kitchen, a comfy master suite, and close proximity to New Bern. Some highlights in New Bern: the trolley tour, sunset cruises, dinner in town, and shopping! We will definitely book this property again!"
