"The picture, the huge crab aquarium at the entrance, the crab marking on the room numbers tell it all, this is a Ryokan for eating really good crab. Sakai, is a far place, and it is pretty old and run down, but it would all be worth it for the crab. So you can imagine my surprise when I learned that despite it being crab season my dinner doesn't have any crab. Had they informed me in check-in that my dinner didn't have crab, I would've been slightly upset that I had to pay a few hundred...

"This was my first hotel in Japan. Great value for the quality of the stay. The location has plenty to offer in a walkable distance, including close proximity to the Shinkansen (bullet train).
