"Great room! We were surprised and very good for the family especially for two year olds. The only thing is that our room didn’t have a fridge? Maybe it is because you need to pay slightly extra for the premium room but would have been good to know if the room came with a fridge or not. Having a two year old we needed to store milk!"

"Lovely interior with spacious rooms with everything you could need for a 2 nights stay, only complaint is the noise outside the hotel if you leave the window open due to being on the high street but cant fault the hotel for that one. Would recommend to anyone staying in reading"

"Great location but not as much if you need to use a car in the area. Parking is VERY tight and hard to manage. If you can park and ride public then it’s great!"

"The Winchester Hotel and Spa was a great value stay. I stayed one night for a birthday treat to be able to enjoy the spa. The spa facilities are excellent and included in your stay. The gym was surprisingly well kitted out, but the spa was the highlight. A lovely relaxation area, good amount of places to lounge, lovely heated pool, sauna, hottub, steam room and plunge shower. Excellently comfortable and clean and would be great as a spa day too. The rooms are a clean and comfortable. The restaurant for dinner or breakfast didn't really appeal. The hotel was easy enough to find and a short wander from the train station. "

"Like this hotel having stayed before. The room was very comfortable and generally quiet although we did get an early wake up (before 06.00) due to refuse collection but it has to be done. The only points we were not particularly impressed with was that the bathroom bin had not been emptied before we arrived and contained used sanitary products. Also, for the price we would have expected the bed to be made and it wasn't."
