"At the price I wasn't expecting a great experience. I was very pleasantly surprised. First the front desk person, Ashley, was fun and friendly. Very good first impression. 2nd the room smelled nice and was very clean. I'm a carpenter so I noticed cosmetic issues but definitely not a deal breaker. I will stay here again."

"Love the property and the staff, but the beds weren't comfortable at all. For that nice of a place they need to invest in better beds. That’s the only complaints that i have about the property. "

"Great property and lots to do outside such as hiking, the River, and land to explore. Beautiful cabin with everything you need. Plenty of room to stay with multiple people. "

"The carpet areas throughout the motel needs to be vacuumed, even in the room I stayed in. There was pieces of stuff all over the hallways, candy wrappers and things like that laying in the carpeted areas. The game room stairs were dirty, needed vacuumed. I stayed for 2 nights and no one vacuumed anywhere. The family restroom door doesn't lock. "

"Nice hotel room and beds, had an alright sofa bed, it could've been more softer with extra mattress. Kitchenette and dishes, utensils were very nice touch. Everything was clean, staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast was good!"

"Our stay was very nice. Our kids enjoyed the water park. It was perfect for our 5 and 6 year old. It may not be enough to satisfy a teenager or older kid, but for the cheap price, you can't beat it. Facilities are definitely older, but the cost of the room was the cheapest I have seen in awhile. The doorknob fell off of our bathroom door during our visit, but it was a matter of the screws not staying in place. Didn't bother us. Continental breakfast was fairly basic, but they had the waffle maker which is generally our go to choice. Overall, it will definitely be our hotel of choice if we return to Brookings. "
