Our room was spacious and comfortable with double aspect windows looking out towards the river. Could do with a little TLC (extractor fan not working in the bathroom and toilet flush not great!) but nothing that affected our stay. Although quite noisy during the day, there was no noise disturbance on our return in the evening (around 9pm) onwards. All staff friendly and efficient and...

"Great service from arrival to departure, all the staff were polite and helpful. Room was spotless and spacious, the bathrobes and slippers were a nice touch. We ate in the restaurant and the food and service was very good. The breakfast was continental style with lots of choice. Would we return?......yes we would."

"I like its history and the Staff are excellent. I disliked: a) Wasting so much milk. I only needed a small spoonful. b) Morning shower.......the water was tepid at the most despite the fact that I reported it and was assured it would be better next day. c) Noisy, especially on Friday night. I could feel the bedroom floor vibrating. d) I found the dinner menu very limited after the first evening. "
