"First of all, Nikki was our online host and stayed in communication with me the whole time. When we arrived at Cedar River, I found that the cabin I thought I reserved was not the one I actually reserved. Fortunately for us Nikki was there to check us in and helped us upgrade to a bigger cabin to fit our family and puppies. "Our family gathered together with their families at this beautiful house in the woods of Iowa City. We all had our own rooms and bathrooms, we were wonderfully surprised by the well stocked items in the kitchen and availability to use and enjoy everything that was inside for us use as well. Then outside.. ponds trees and to be able to walk about and enjoy all the surrounding areas! The host was very accommodating to us as well!"

"Ensure you have AWD or 4WD and good tires. It’s a 10 miles drive on a very muddy/gravel, low maintained road with lots of holes. There were several times my van almost got stuck and I was sliding all over the road. The tree and water fountain were very cute but there were 2 dead mice around the bottom of the tree, inside the cabin. The road/driveway outside of the cabin was pure mud deep mud. "the event center is in the process of development, with construction workers and miscellaneous characters running about. The cabins are almost brand new (business est 2021) and they are continuing to build more cabins. The cabins all sleep 4+ people, but the interiors would be cramped for more than 2 because of the smaller appliances and plumbing installed. They utilize window AC/heater units that are really loud and located right next to the main bed...woke me up every time it kicked in!...
