"Always enjoy our stay at Union Road , it is so convenient for visiting my family. They make you feel so welcome. I am sorry to say if there is one thing we don't like is the fact that the rooms are dog friendly, and we are not dog lovers. I don't know if all rooms are dog friendly but if they are it might be a problem for future stays as my wife can break out in a rash."

"Only stayed for one night but it was just over half the price of the local Premier inn and I was given an apartment not a room, pretty clean with a sea view and plenty to do there although I didn't have time to use any of the amenities. Free parking on site and a decent restaurant, Only thing is it's a pretty old hotel and looking a bit dated and tired but not really an issue. I will try to book this hotel again if I am in the area in the future."

We regularly stay in Brixham when we are putting the boat and and out of the water or seeing mates and there is some good accommodation in the town but this is now our favourite place. "I went to book into the hotel and it was closed, dark and empty. I tried to contact them on both numbers provided. Nothing. No answer, no call back. I tried all day and it was so frustrating and worrying as we had no idea where we were going to sleep that night. I left it until 5pm and then found another place to stay. "The owners were very friendly; greeting you on arrival and showing you to your room, which was comfortable, clean and tidy. It had a decent view over Torquay, not the see but the town itself, quite a pretty place to look out at. Parking area is small but plenty adequate if you take time and care to go into a space. The bed was made daily (something most hotels don't do now) and a nice touch was the bottle of water by the bed in case you needed a drink in the night. Plenty of storage to pack...
