"I grew up in Dubuque and have always wanted to stay at The Hotel Julien! It did not disappoint😊. Clean and well appointed room that has recently been renovated (bathroom just needs a fresh wallpaper design or paint). Pool/hot tub was clean and relaxing."

"I come up to galena at least 1x a year and always stay here. Easy parking, close proximity to Main Street. Friendly staff. Includes breakfast coffee and tea always available. "

"The room was clean. The shower head gave out ample amounts of water. The hair and body care products were attached to the shower wall and on the wall near the sink. The ones I used were effective and luxurious. Plenty of towels. Plenty of cups. The pillows were labeled soft and firm, and they were very comfotable. The chairs were a bit funky, but they were sturdy enough."

"Overall the place was great! The heater worked well, it was clean, & we had hot water. The hallways were cooler & the indoor pool was too cold for us, but my wife really liked the workout room as it had newer precore equipment. Continental breakfast was decent with a waffel maker, cereal, omletes & sausage which were still a little cold when we ate. The sign outside missed a "U" but they r going through a sign change & our GPS led us to a different address but we were able to figure it out. All in all we would stay here again...It was a great value for staying a Thursday & a Friday. Much more affordable than other hotels in the area & it felt like we were the only ones there both days. "
