"Great cottage for a long weekend, perfect for visiting Killarney and the surrounding area and hiking. The cottage has everything we needed and the host was very helpful and welcoming."

"As this is a self check-in it would be most helpful to have a three-ring binder listed with items such as “how to” use the peat stove, turn on the hot water, turn on the heat, identify the wifi code. There is a binder filled with bar and restaurant info but what I recommend is different. I did email the host about the wifi code and he let me know it is posted near the TV. As I don’t watch TV I did not think to look in that space. I wanted to try the peat stove as on my Dingle Way walk I saw...

"This property location was great. Easy to walk into town and running trails near. Easy to drive the Beara, Ring of Kerry and Dingle peninsulas from this location. The property manager “Heather” was awesome. She went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. "The property is beautifully situated on the edge of a large forested area and the views were spectacular. The property was in excellent shape, as described and we had an excellent stay! Be prepared for bit of a drive from town but well worth it - we would stay here again!"

"This property was perfect! We were a group of 5, so we utilized the apart hotel. It was spacious and clean, allowed us to have communal space and private sleeping. Dining at the restaurant was fantastic. Jason was our server and he was amazing. Food was great, only a short 10 min walk to the Muckross Abbey and a breath taking lake. Hotel views bolstered mountains in the morning. Wonderful staff, we did not have time to utilize the spa but it looked beautiful. "

"The property management manager was very helpful and responsive.However the property is on the outskirts of Killarney and a 20 min walk in case you are going out at night in the town."

"We had an awesome stay ! It is above a pub so we were worried we would be kept up all night but we went out and by the time we go home at midnight there was no music going on so it was perfect. Rooms are small but have everything you need and beds are comfy. Best part was the free full Irish breakfast in the morning. Would stay again "

Gorgeous place

"The view of the lake was incredible. I strongly recommend one of the rooms facing the lake. If you can get it I was here in the middle of winter and during the Daragh storm and the whole place was just kind of magical because of the to be honest. The grounds are beautiful. I walked all the way round and I just can’t think of another place that is as pretty as this. To be honest, I’d probably give the food a miss if I went back again."

Beautiful relaxing stay

"From start to finish it was a lovely relaxing stay at The Brehon. Bar food was great and kane the barman was fab. He really looked after us. Dining room was also fab. Patric looked after our every need. Breakfast was plentiful and really good too. I had a massage and facial in the spa and i would highly recommend Irena. It was amazing. We stayed in one of the heritage rooms and it was really nice. Good hairdyer , diffuser and straightners provided. Robes and slippers and also a fridge. Beds were really comfy and the shower was great.100% we will be back to The Brehon."

Enjoyable stay

"Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Asked for a coconut margarita and the bar staff member very kindly made this off menu. Hotel in a fab location and breakfast was one of the best we have had. The glazed ham for breakfast was beautiful "
