Welcome our hidden treasure, beach holiday house. Unwind and have a relaxing stay. You'll find everything you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable, your 'home away from home'. Walking through the doors you'll immediately feel at ease with the inviting ambiance, soft tones, cosy furniture decor. All of the beds have comfortable luxurious linen and electric blankets for those cooler winter nights.
This two-storied house features an open plan kitchen, lounge, dining area. The private fully-fenced section has outside decking over two levels. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, one separate toilet, and fully contained laundry to cater to your family's needs.
This house does not contain television but has 'fiber broadband' for those who wish to stay connected to the outside world with wifi while on their stay.
There is off-street parking on either side of the house, with a single lockable garage.
Neighbourhood:
Within 50m walk you'll find a children's playground and picnic area before reaching the stunning Ocean View Beach. Just 15 minutes drive from Dunedin airport and 20 minutes Dunedin city centre. This property is well suited for anyone who is looking for a getaway on the outskirts of Dunedin.
Around the corner from our house, you will find a Fish and Chip shop. Within walking distance, just over the hill, you'll find the quaint township of Brighton. You can enjoy a coffee or breakfast from the cafe or an ice-cream from the convenience store. Brighton hosts a surf club where you can enjoy swimming in the beach in a safely patrolled area. In nearby Green Island (8 min drive), you'll find a Fresh-Choice supermarket, petrol stations, cafes, health services and various other amenities including some great Chinese takeaways.
At the end of the street is a bus stop, making it handy to get buses into Dunedin City
Swimming:
Ocean View is a stunning beach with glorious views and rocks to explore. However, it is noted to not be a safe beach to swim in. There are strong, dangerous rips. For safe swimming, it is advised to head around to 'Big Rock' at Brighton Beach to the patrolled area.
