"Pleasant hotel in a quiet area with helpful staff. It's a very straightforward experience with not many amenities -- no hotel transportation, laundry service, refrigerators or microwave, for example. "My kids and I stayed here for one night as a bit of research now that we’ve moved into the area, so we can see which hotels to suggest to friends. The building is very impressive but it’s a bit too old school for me, and could do to modernise a bit. The bar area is very small and situated near the front door. "Had a great stay here rooms are very nice & would stay again. Only very small negative was check out time on my booking said 12pm, we had a cleaner walk in without knocking at 10:30 & then at 11:30 knocking to ask if we where leaving soon. I understand completely they have rooms to turn round & the mistake at coming in the first time I would have forgiven as a mistake but being rushed then at 11:30 it just felt like they wanted us out. "Great location to access Oxford and very close to shopping centre, prison museum, shops, restaurant and bars. We stayed in a basic room which was clean, quiet and had what we needed including a king size bed. The bed was very comfortable and great a king size came as standard.
